Building on the success of last year’s first academia program ‘Ready to become a 3D champion?” the featuring and Browzwear teams collaborate again on a new academia program in 2024. This year, we partner in Bangladesh with BGMEA’s University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT).
The industry is changing; we are in a digital transformation. The significance of 3D solutions will increase, and the benefits will outweigh any disadvantages.
With the academia program we aim to support production markets, prepare a future cohort of product developers, and equip them with essential 3D skills to adapt to the industry’s transformative landscape.
End of January, the featuring team visited BUFT with Aurelie Rob, Digi-hub Manager, and Kawsarul Riyadh, Trainee 3D Product Development, a champion from the 2023 academia program. They were joined by members from Browzwear, including Deepa Subramaniam, Account Executive, and Jay Ong, 3D Specialist.
Selected student groups were introduced to the program and topics like digital end-to-end workflows and the various options to render 3D styles, which sparked interest among the students and the faculty members.
Academia Program Rundown
For 3 months, 15 participating students will get access to the BWU (Browzwear University Platform). In that time, they will receive support from Browzwear and the featuring team and have the chance to acquire important 3D creation skills. The students will not only be trained in Vstitcher, Browzwear’s 3D creation software, but also work on a challenge. The students will compete for a 2-month internship placement with the featuring team in the OI Dhaka office.
